Dale Weeldreyer, Vice President of Purchasing & Facilities Engineering
Dale is responsible for Purchasing and Facilities Engineering for the company.
Purchasing provides the overall strategy for procurement of materials, energy, and services for the company and is responsible for negotiation of national and regional agreements.
Facilities Engineering provides engineering technical expertise to plant maintenance and engineering groups, oversight for capital planning, capital project execution, and coordination for energy management across the company.
Dale is a 40 year veteran of the foundry industry. Prior to joining Grede in 1990, he was the Manager of Production Operations at Navistar’s Indianapolis Foundry, where he was responsible for planning and executing all manufacturing activities. Dale spent 10 years in John Deere’s foundry organization with assignments in Engineering and Production Management. He began his career with General Motors where he held positions in Maintenance and Engineering.
Dale earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota State University. He has completed several executive development programs over the course of his career. He has been actively involved in reliability associations and served on the AFS Plant Engineering committee.
