Citation Corp. Announces New Chairman of the Board and COO

Novi, Michigan, July 30, 2007 Citation Corp. announced today that Daniel C. Lukas has been appointed chairman of the board of directors, and Cary B. Wood has been promoted to chief operating officer (COO) effective immediately. Citation also announced the resignation of Ed Buker as CEO to pursue other opportunities.

Citation has created an executive committee consisting of Lukas, Wood, and the vice president of Sales and Marketing Chuck Pestow, which will be responsible for the continued execution of the companys strategies and business plan. Wood will assume full responsibility for day-to-day operations, working with the executive committee.

Lukas replaces William E. Redmond, Jr. as chairman of Citation. Redmond, currently president and CEO of GenTek Inc., recently stepped down from the board to focus on other interests.  Lukas is a managing director at GSC Group, which he joined in 2003. A fund managed by GSC Group became Citation's largest shareholder earlier this year. Lukas also serves as a director of Precision Partners, Inc; DTN Corporation; Cherokee International Corporation; and Color Spot Nurseries, Inc; and has previously served as a director of several additional GSC portfolio companies. He earned a BA in Government and Economics from Dartmouth College.

"We are pleased with the progress Citation has made this year and with the operating improvements that Cary Wood has achieved throughout his tenure with the company. We congratulate Cary on his promotion and Chuck on joining the executive committee.  I look forward to working with them and the rest of Citation's management team to continue aggressively implementing the company's key strategic initiatives and long-term business plan.  We also thank Bill Redmond and Ed Buker for their years of service to Citation and wish them well," said Lukas.

Prior to his promotion to the newly created position of COO, Wood was senior vice president of operations for Citation a position he held since 2006. Wood is located at the companys Novi, Mich. location. Wood joined Citation in 2004 as vice president for the Light Metals and Machining Group. Prior to this, he held several executive-level positions with various companies, including vice president of North and South American Operations for Formica Corp.; executive vice president of operations for Elkay Corp; and a lengthy tenure at General Motors Corp. Wood earned a bachelor of science degree from Purdue University and a master of science degree from Lawrence University.

These are exciting times for Citation. The support of GSC and other key shareholders has allowed us to dramatically decrease our debt and restore Citation to financial health while continuing to provide customers with high quality products and exceptional service, said Wood. We fully anticipate meeting our business objectives outlined for this fiscal year.
