Citation Corp. Names Todd Heavin Senior Vice President of Operations
Novi, Mich., January 19, 2009 - Citation Corporation today announced it has named Todd Heavin senior vice president of operations effective immediately. Heavin is based at the company’s Novi, Mich., headquarters and reports to the chief executive officer.
In this role, Heavin joins the executive management team and is responsible for Citation’s eleven manufacturing facilities, quality and purchasing activities.
Heavin replaces Gordon Madlock who left the company to pursue other professional opportunities.
“We are excited Todd has joined Citation’s executive leadership team,” said Citation’s CEO Doug Grimm. “His extensive background in operations and lean manufacturing will be a valuable asset to the company as we continue to diversify the company, streamline our operations and increase our manufacturing efficiencies.”
Most recently, Heavin served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of FormTech Industries, LLC, a supplier of forged and machined automotive components, located in Royal Oak, Mich. Earlier, he was president of Intermet Corp.’s Die Cast Group and also held the positions of vice president – Ferrous Metals Group and Light Metals Group. Prior to joining Intermet, Heavin held managerial positions with Delphi Automotive Systems, United Technologies Automotive and Inverness Castings Group. Heavin began his career as a quality engineer at Dynac Corp.
Heavin earned a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University in accounting and finance.
