Grede Wins Awards For Customer Service, Performance and Design Excellence
Novi, Mich., March 1, 2010 - Grede Holdings LLC, today announced it recently received two awards for service, performance and design excellence.
Its Iron Mountain facility in Kingsford, Mich., received a 2009 supplier award from Cummins Inc. for best performance in “Management Attitude and Partnership in Response to Customer Demand.” Cummins highlighted several of Grede’s accomplishments, including improvements in demand flow, capacity utilization and maximizing output while minimizing expediting costs.
Grede’s lost foam facility in Columbiana, Ala., received Honorable Mention for the design of its diesel particulate filter bracket in this year’s Annual Casting Competition, sponsored by the American Foundry Society and Metal Casting Design & Purchasing magazine.
